The deeternet® Wireless Sensor System interfaces with any 4-20mA sensor, resistive sensor or switched sensor to enable reliable wireless communication with the sensor. Suitable for installation in environments where it would be difficult or impractical to run cables, it can also be used as a backup to an existing wired system to ensure continued transmission of sensor data in the event of cable failure.
The system communicates using the IEEE 802.15.4 wireless network protocol, in the internationally approved, licence-free, 2.4GHz ISM frequency band. Wireless range can be up to 1km, subject to environmental conditions, antenna location and interference from other radio equipment.
Featuring a range of devices including the deeternet® Wireless Sender, Router, Single and Multi-Channel Base Stations and the Ethernet-connected deeternet® Wireless Gateway, the deeternet® Wireless Sensor System is suitable for a wide range of applications.
The deeternet® Wireless Gateway connects to your network via Ethernet and allows you to easily view all of your sensor data using a web browser. It can communicate with up to 40 deeternet® Wireless Senders, enabling the collection of data from up to 200 sensors.
The modern and user friendly web interface allows the viewing of sensor data at a glance, in addition to configuration of set points for email and SMS alerts.
Connect any 4-20mA sensor, resistive sensor or switched sensor to the deeternet® Wireless Sender and effortlessly communicate with it wirelessly. With a range of up to 1km under ideal conditions, the deeternet® Wireless Sender provides a low-cost, reliable method of wireless communication.
The deeternet® Wireless Sender connects four discrete switched inputs and one analogue resistive input or one 4-20mA current loop analogue input and transmits their signals at regular intervals to the deeternet® Wireless Gateway, deeternet® Wireless Base Station or deeternet® Wireless Multi-Channel Base Station.
The deeternet® Wireless Router may be added to the deeternet® Wireless Sensor System in order to significantly improve both the wireless communication range and reliability.
Multiple deeternet® Wireless Routers may be added to further increase the network's range and signal quality, with the network automatically selecting the best route between the deeternet® Wireless Sender and the deeternet® Wireless Gateway, deeternet® Wireless Base Station or deeternet® Wireless Multi-Channel Base Station.
A wireless version of our highly specified LVCS Continuous Vertical Liquid Level Sensor, the LVCS-RF integrates efforlessly into the deeternet Wireless Sensor System, allowing continuous sensing in lengths up to 2m.
The deeternet® LVCS-RF is a fully integrated continuous level sensor, removing the necessity for a separate deeternet® Wireless Sender for a more cost effective solution.
For less complex requirements, the deeternet® Wireless Base Station & Multi Channel Base stations create point to point networks with supported deeternet® hardware in order to convert remote sensor input signals into local outputs.
Providing a more cost effective solution when lower sensor numbers are required, the deeternet® Wireless Base Station & Multi Channel Base Station are ideal for replacing or augmenting existing wired sensor networks.
The deeternet® Wireless Site Survey Tool analyses the unique radio profile of an area to help identify the optimal locations to site wireless equipment.
Consisting of a transceiver and a transmitter, the deeternet® Wireless Site Survery tool is designed to be vendor independent and can be used to survey any site looking to implement or extend a wireless network that operates in the 2.4GHz ISM frequency band, including the deeternet® Wireless Sensor System and Wi-Fi networks.
